Policies
France is actively pushing for digital sovereignty. Among its policies in the fields of cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity, one initiative stands out: The “Électronique 2030” programme is designed to boost France's production of electronic components and secure the country's technological sovereignty. Investment of over €5 billion was announced in 2022. The French government also plans to replace major US online services with a homegrown digital ecosystem of sovereign tools for civil servants.
